When I bought my aircraft I wasn't even aware that this boot was part of the original equipment (since it had long fallen apart). Bought this to keep grime and gunk from getting down into the flap switch and it works very well at doing that. Easy to install by unscrewing the flap switch paddle and sliding the boot over the shaft and putting the handle back on - easy! Plus it dresses up that area a bit more and makes it look finished. An inexpensive and attractive fix to keep granola bar crumbs out of the flap switch!
