David's Tip: Carefully examine your exhaust clamps prior to every flight! Leaky clamps will exhibit a light gray or brown "sooting" on the exhaust pipe around the clamp. If you see this, bring your aircraft into a shop immediately since hot exhaust and carbon monoxide may be leaking into the cowl area!
